Syria-Jordan-Egypt cycling route

PLAN: Fly NYC to Aleppo December 16th and Cairo to back home January 31st.  Along the way see Damascus, Palmyra, Amman, Petra, Mt. Sinai, Giza, Luxor.  900k in Syria, 650k in Jordan, 315k  on the Sinai peninsula, 850k in Egypt.

    That looks like one hell of a trip, will it be face-meltingly hot or what they call “winter”?

    Thanks, mate. Actually, I’m expecting it to be fairly chilly in Syria at the end of December. With having to plan on higher temps in Egypt later, it means packing a range of clothing not unlike our Nepal trip but with more days in the cold. This excursion will be more relaxed, though, so I’ll indulge in more clothing comforts.
